The Supply and Fit of a replica Gothic Style Arched Window to Ballyjamesduff Museum, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan for Cavan County Council
This contract involved the supply and fit of a new 2.5m x 4.5m gothic style window to match the existing window to the front elevation of the former convent building. It was of great concern to the client that the new window matched the existing window exactly, so it was decided to remove the existing window back to MFM Joinery’s factory, allowing every detail to be matched. The window opening was temporarly boarded up for the 5 weeks it took to make the new window. As the window is on the third floor of the building the window was pre painted before installation therefore saving the client having to do so after the window was fitted. The window was manufactured using Iroko Teak and 4/12/6.4mm Clear Glazing. It was primed and painted using a waterbased Sikkens products.
